    Kerri Overstreet is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified School Counselor and entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in the counseling profession. She provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families from her practice in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to her Louisiana license, she is also licensed to practice in Texas and North Carolina.

    Kerri helps clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional intelligence and clarity when navigating personal and relationship challenges. Her approach to counseling is integrative and collaborative. She combines thoughtful reflection with practical strategies that support emotional growth and long-term well-being.

    Her professional experience includes hospital-based mental health services, higher education counseling, career and workforce development, K–12 school counseling and private practice. This diverse background allows her to work effectively with individuals, couples, families and professionals facing a wide range of life transitions.

    Kerri has demonstrated ongoing leadership within the counseling profession. She has served as President-Elect and President of the Louisiana Career Development Association and has held leadership roles with both the Louisiana Counseling Association and the Louisiana College Counseling Association. She currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and contributes to one of its leadership committees. Kerri has also published articles in Louisiana Lagniappe, the professional publication of the Louisiana Counseling Association and has presented at numerous conferences on topics related to career counseling. In recognition of her work in the field, she was named East Baton Rouge Parish School Counselor of the Year.

    Outside of her professional life, her faith in God serves as a guiding foundation and source of strength. She enjoys reading, writing and learning about psychology and personal development. She also enjoys tending to her flower beds, staying active, traveling and spending time with her family/friends.
